What requirements do you have for membership? What kind of guild are you? What server are you on? |

Really, we don't have any set requirements. Simply that you act in a mature and responsible manner, and that you help others as they help you. The most basic rule for the guild is the Golden Rule. Do unto others as they do unto you. There are no time requirements. We all have lives that can vary how much time we can spend in game. Real life should come first, and nobody should be punished because they have responsibilities outside the game. We do expect members to let us know if they will have difficulties being in game, however, simply as a matter of respect so we know what is going on. There are also no guild dues. Any guild funding comes through donations from the membership. We feel nobody should be pressured into giving a set amount. Members can give as they are able to. There are different ways you can support the guild besides simply giving in game money, anyways. You can help provide in game items such as weapons and armor to guildmates, help others by crafting other items that may help members build houses or ships, and also by spending time with other members teaching them new things in the game or helping with a quest. While we have leadership, there also is not a huge emphasis on positions within the guild, and ranks only serve two purposes. First, they are meant as an RP value, to help further the goals of the guild by creating a specific atmosphere. Second, and most importantly, to simply run the guild. Simple is key here, as we would rather any "politics" to only be of RP value, and not for there to be any cause for problems amongst the membership. We are a light RP guild. What this means is that we enjoy creating stories and plots with our characters and encourage those in the guild as well as those we meet to roleplay, but we do not force anyone to RP if they do not wish to. Nor will we dismiss anyone who does not roleplay. RP is a personal choice, and we respect others choices as we expect them to respect ours. The guild itself has a background based on history from Roman times, and also is roleplayed as a mercenary group. We keep roleplay interactions restricted to general chat as in character (IC) talk, while other forms such as guildchat, groupchat, and tells are considered out of character (OOC) unless specifically designated. We also are interested in all aspects of the game. Hunting (PvE), raiding, crafting, PvP'ing, or just hanging out with our friends in game. The guild serves to help members and allow everyone as an outlet to participate in and enjoy what they like in the game. The bottom line is this guild is about having fun in the world of Vanguard with friends, and enjoying what is available to us to the fullest extent possible. Makko Feb 14, 2007 |
